Definitely the friendliest post office staff I have ever encountered.
Unfortunately online reviews tend to be biased toward the negative- however I can state after HUNDREDS of trips to this post office location *and multiple others* this is my favorite go-to for the professional, caring staff.
5 stars all day long!
I have complained repeatedly, but to no avail - there are always excuses. I literally have to sit at the mailbox when expecting something important, or it's not delivered. I do not understand why this happens 75% of the time. There's no rain today, certainly no snow. Awful service and completely unacceptable.
The lady that answers the phone here is unbelievably miserable and rude. I've also had a photo envelope (with a very special picture in it) that specifically said do not bend in several locations stuffed in my mailbox from this post office. I have not had the greatest experiences here.
I run an Etsy shop and am constantly dropping off packages, multiple times per week.
The logical move would be to drop the too-large envelope on the porch, but they took it back to the office. On a Saturday. With no option to pick up until after 9am Monday morning, after most people have started their workday. At least one person has been home the entire day - no one came to the house. They never do.
The people working here are incredibly kind, helpful, and have gotten me out of a few jams- including Tracey helping me after closing hours to identify a package the came on their evening truck so that I could switch it out to the correct label after I recognized I had dropped off a parcel (to a neighboring post office that closes early no less!) with the incorrect shipping address. She really saved me a huge ordeal! That is not the first time I have called them in a near panic looking for assistance, and they have never made me feel foolish or bothersome even though I have made various shipping mistakes while figuring out all of the nuances of my online business.
Anytime there is any package delivery on Saturday, there is a delivery exception. Today, they filled the box with incoming mail, then claimed delivery exception on the last piece (an envelope of knitting needles, mind you) and took it back to the office. Of course the box is full - you just filled it!
The Goodrich, MI post office has failed to deliver mail on 4 occasions this month. They claimed bad weather but 3 of those days were very mild
